Since the steam engine began running at about 20 kilometers per hour on a quiet land 110 years ago, KTX was fully opened in 2010, entering the era of high-speed rail at a speed of 300 kilometers per hour.

The Yookyung Control Co. Ltd. was established in 1996 by the separation from the mother company Yookyung Communication Co. Ltd. The railroad technology accumulated since 1972 makes Yookyung to be the only general railroad signal enterprise with overall system of design, manufacture and construction.

Currently the company moved into the Korea Digital Industrial Complex and prepared the optimal production infrastructure, and with the development of new technology by the subordinated technology laboratory, conclusion of industrial-academic cooperation with Seoul National University of Technology in 1997, acquisition of ISO 9001, 14001 certifications in railroad signal area, reception of presidential industrial commendation in 1999 celebration of 100 years of railroad, etc enhanced the position as a signal system company, and recently the company successfully established the critical signal system as electronic interlocker in Gyeongbu and Honam lines, and lastly by the contract of next generation ATP signal system in December 2003, the company is focusing harder to develop new technologies.

The sincere effort only for the modernization of national railroad signal system is now giving its fruits and nowadays the products of Yookyung are proving their excellence in countries as Myanmar, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand and other South Asian countries and Turkey, Venezuela, Morocco, and the company is also strengthening the cooperation with foreign leading railroad companies for development of light train, MBS and ATP, etc.

If the 38 years from the small beginning in 1972 was the time that Yookyung's potential was proved, from now on the 21C of Yookyung will be the time of creating new hopes in Gyeongbu, Honam lines, South-North Korean railroad and being the basis for establishment of Railroad Renaissance connecting the Western and the Eastern World.
